I am trying run 3 external monitors from my (mid 2014) 15inch macbook pro. It will run two with no problem but will not see the third. I'm using HDMI to HDMI, Thunderbolt to VGA and Thunderbolt to DVI. Can anyone help?

Thank you for responding. The connections are:
HDMI to HDMI connected to HP 23xi monitor
Thunderbolt to DVI connected to the other HP 23xi
Thunderbolt to VGA connected to Dell E228WFP monitor
The HP screen HDMI to HDMI didn't come on when I plugged in the Dell

Is your 15" rMBP the one with the discrete graphics card (top of the line)? I think that one can drive 3 monitors. Not sure if the other 15" one can.
How do I find this out? Under the graphics section it says resolution 2880x1800 and the graphics as Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
