Macbook Pro Mid 2010 and Yosemite Incompatible

My Macbook Pro Mid 2010 does not work with Yosemite. I have tried several fixes but I still have spinning ball after most clicks and serious lag in everything I do. Annyone else? I spoke to Apple and they don't appear to ackknowledge the problem.

Yosemite works just fine on most mid-2010 MacBook Pros so you've probably a hardware or third-party software problem.

Download and run EtreCheck. Copy the results to the clipboard and paste the output in a reply here. That way we can, at least, determine if you've any third-party software that may be problematic.

I have a mid year 2010 straight MacBook and had slow execution as described above AND my MS Office applications as well as Adobe Acrobat would crash when I tried to print. After being unable to print for 2 weeks and talking to Apple Support who had "never" heard these problems with Yosemite, the OS mysteriously healed itself overnight (after talking to Apple Support) and everything works though it is slower than the Maverick it replaced.

All, this is a complicated issue and seems rife with blind alleys. I narrowed my problems down to Menutabpro (FB) and Apple GPS system. Process called 'Apple.com.geod' kept hanging and slowing up computer. All in all, my belied is that Yosemait IS NOT COMPATIBLE with a MMR Mid 2010.
