How do I undo an iPhone sync? HELP I'M FREAKING OUT!

Using iTunes, I accidentally synced my notes with Outlook and replaced the information on my iPhone which resulted in ALL MY NOTES BEING ERASED FROM MY IPHONE! I have some extremely important information and I really need to get these notes back, what should I do???

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1

You can not undo the sync. If you don't have a backup from prior to when you did it, they're gone. What were you syncing the notes with previously? If you were syncing them with iCloud or another cloud service that supports syncing notes, they may still be there. If you not syncing them and they only existed locally, then they are probably gone for good.

Computers are dumb. They only do what you tell them to do, if they are capable of doing it. You (inadvertently) told your computer to get rid of the notes.

If you accidentally put a filet mignon into a meat grinder, you can't get the filet mignon back. And it's only two little steps!

1. Put the filet mignon in the grinder.

2. Push the 'on' button.

Just because ti was just two little steps doesn't mean that it was a minor procedure.

If you don't have backup of the data, you cannot recover the data (short of recreating all the data manually).

It is as simple as that.

Truth hurts sometimes. Put on your big girl pants and move forward, or see if there is a data recovery service out there that gets your info back. It's a huge long shot, but all you have to lose is some money that you spend on the service that may or may not (probably not) get your data back.

Take better precautions in the future.

If the Notes were so vital, then you should have been protecting them better and making backup copies elsewhere. It's easy to copy & paste a note into an email and send it to yourself, or to then copy that email to your computer, or to print out a hard copy of the notes. And so on.

You've learned a valuable lesson about the need to have proper data backups. Learn from that lesson and move on.

I really need an answer, these notes are vital to my life and I'm not even exaggerating! I'm not great with technology so sorry if I sound really stupid but I just need to undo this sync or somehow use a backup from a previous connection to iTunes that would bring my notes back because I had them then. When I choose the restore backup option, it only gives me a backup from today. Can I choose a manual backup somehow? Please help!!!

How do I even find a backup from prior to when I did it??? When I choose the 'Restore Backup...' option, it literally just gives me the last backup I did. I never synced notes before but the only thing I did this time was go to the Info tab and by trying to somehow get my notes to the computer, I actually replaced Outlook notes from my computer to my iPhone but I don't have any Outlook notes so now I just have 'No Notes'. If these notes are gone for good, I'm gone for good. There's got to be a way to recover them.

From my experience, computers are really good with recovering things. For example, if you delete a file, it doesn't just disappear, it goes to the recycle bin and then you can decide whether or not to get rid of it completely. Even then, I heard that all files are still somewhere out there in the world and that's why people are cautious with their privacy.

Trust me, if there is a data recovery service that actually works, I would spend some real money on it, this is how desperate my situation is right now. And this is coming from someone who rarely buys any software unless I absolutely need it.

DriveSavers seems to have a reasonable reputation. They are not cheap (they quoted me $1500 to recover a hard drive about 10 years ago). You will also need to send them your phone.

According to this and all the other sites that popped up when I did a search on Dr.Fone, I would not trust it at all. To me it seems like a sure way to make matter worst rather then better.

A significant number of selenafromshenzhen's posts are essentially spam for Wondershare prodcuts. I suspect they work for the company.

I am always sceptical but I wonder why then is it rated 4 stars on softonic? Could all the reviewers be working for the company?

All the reviewers could also be the same person. Fraud in reviews is rampant on the Internet, both positive reviews of your own product and negative reviews of your competitors.

And that person is probably selenafromshenzhen.
