iPad Mini problem

The school I go to has a program where students have to bring in an iPad for classes. Just today, I was charging my iPad up for such a reason when I knocked it off of my desk by accident. It was stuck at 97% for about 1 hour and I got concerned, so I looked up the issue on Google. Lots of people had this issue, too and one of them said "the iPad's logic board is damaged and that creates Fake Charging, this usually happens after it is dropped." and now I want a quick solution because otherwise, my iPad will never be usable again if it runs out! The warranty ran out as well, so I can't get a replacement.
