Split screen ipad 2 ios 8

There isn't a split screen option in iOS 8, but you can easily switch between apps via the taskbar or multitasking gestures.

If you do jailbreak it then you will void the warranty and not be able to get any help from Apple or these forums if anything goes wrong with your iPad. You will also open up the iPad to viruses and malware : Unauthorized modification of iOS can cause security vulnerabilities, instability, shortened battery life, and other issues.

Apple is yet to introduce such function in iOS. I will not recommend you to modify your device at jailbreak level as it voids warranty and causes problem for beginner users.
