Hi, working in a large office and we've a couple of people who have other users keyboards/mice connecting to their macs since they upgraded to Yosemite.
Any suggestions? I've seen resetting the PRAM as a solution but trying to track down the owners is a challenge in itself to delete them off the offenders macs. I thought you should be able to block a device from connecting without entering the passcode.

Resetting the PRAM should work....
If the offending device is deleted in system preferences>Bluetooth it should not happen again.
Are the other devices actually connected or just showing up?
I do not know of anyway that Bluetooth connections can be blocked (unlike wi-fi).

It's a strange one, they're actually connecting (macbook pro) even though they were never added to the mac. The user has to disconnect but they'll reconnect.
When they connect, do they actually control the MacBook Pro? If they do not, I would ignore it.

Hi, yes, it's disabling the attached Trackpad and they are able to control the MacBook Pro.
I have a similar issue. Once I installed Yosemite I randomly will experience intermittent bluetooth timeouts for a few second and when that happens if I go to the bluetooth menu in the toolbar it shows random people's computers. It will Say Christopher's Laptop, etc. It's always computers sometimes people in our office sometimes not. I never initial or give permission to connect they just show up and I can click disconnect if I'm fast enough.
My mac is randomly connecting to every Mac and iPhone in the office via Bluetooth. It's really annoying, and it's disrupting other people in the office because it drops their bluetooth connections. This is a brand new mac, started doing it a few days after opening the box. I tried resetting my PRAM, tried deleting my bluetooth.plist file, nothing seems to stop my Mac from whoring itself out and connecting to every device in the office. Please help, I need this to stop!
The same thing happens to me. Every once and a while my mouse will become laggy then I know it's happening again.
I go to the bluetooth icon in my top bar and mixed in with my mouse/keyboard/trackpad I'll see some other person's computer. Sometimes it's people in my office sometimes I don't recognize the name (shared building).
I noticed it when I updated to Yosemite.
I've never connected via Bluetooth to anyone else' computer and here's what it looks like when the bluetooth starts acting laggy...
I found the issue for me, it was an issue with the application MacID version 1.1, the 1.2 update fixed it for me. Maybe it's this app for you, or another app that's using Bluetooth.
I've been struggling with this for weeks and this was it. Totally forgot I had this app installed.
I have the same kind of issue. I have tried resetting PRAM, SMC and deleted the bluetooth plist file, but cant get the issue away. Anyone got any suggestion?
Why has this problem not been fixed or addressed? My iPhone will randomly connect to my iMac even when I'm not logged in. It won't show up on my Bluetooth settings on either device, so I have no idea how to stop it unless I turn off one or the other.
Jesus, the amount of problems Apple products have these days is ridiculous.
Thank you for posting this! The MacID app was the culprit for our office as well. The machine with this app installed was creating interference for 3 other users with Magic Mice. The outgoing connection from the machine causing the problem were happening several times per minute. The system.log showed the following which gave us the MAC address of the computer that kept trying to connect to the other machines.

Same issue here - since I've installed MacID, my Mac started randomly (and very persistently) trying to connect to other devices in our office (printers, servers, Macs, PCs). Interestingly my Mac actually succeeded to establish unauthorised connection to other Macs.
Something is very dodgy about this app. The creator (Kane Cheshire) has deleted his email address from both his website and his blog. There is no way to get in touch with him. I see a refund coming up... It's a pity for the otherwise good execution.
