wireless printer has been working fine for months,, now mac says no connection,, wireless printer says it is all ok full signal,repeated diagnostics send me in circle

Go to the Printer's site and check out with them how to reinstall. I had a similar problem three days ago and I did just this; the whole process took just a few minutes. If you Google the problem as a question, you may get an answer there too. Sometimes these glitches arise for no apparent reason.
If you have the printers IP address open Terminal (applications/Utilities) and at the prompt type: ping {printerIP}. You will get a reply or failure.
