Can't access developer downloads page
Hi everyone. I'm trying to install the Command Line Developer Tools.
Initially, tried using "xcode-select --install" in the terminal. Despite many different approaches and a call to my company IT services, I consistently (and quickly) timeout with the vague message "Can’t download the software because of a network problem."
Given that Xcode no longer supports downloading this addition through the in-app "downloads" section, I decided to go onto the developers connection to download it directly. And here is the rub:
Every time I attempt to navigate to https://developer.apple.com/downloads I am redirected to the "My Apple ID" page. There is no message to indicate if there is something wrong leading to this redirect (I am signed in, after all). This is an account I've had for years. While I haven't used it to access the downloads for years, I have in the past needed to download the occasional iOS SDK.
Am I missing some new, exclusive masonic handshake to download developer tools? Or is there some alternate URL / resource that might work?
TLDR: Developer downloads page redirects me to "My Apple ID" page. Am I missing something or is there some other way to get Command Line Developer Tools?
