Unable to iCloud Backup

Hi !

I am new to the community !

I have iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 boh with IOS 8.

every night I have the habit of backing up via WiFi to iCloud on both the devices.

Last Backup was done on 18-Nov-2014.

Now when I try to backup it shows backing up and estimated time remaining and the suddenly a message pops up COULD NOT CONNECT TO ICLOUD SERVER OR TIMED OUT OR UNABLE TO VERIFY. I checked my wiFi which is working. I checked my iCloud which is working but this problem is persisting. I then decided to back on my computer till iCloud problem gets resolved.

I will be grateful if anyone can help me out.
