Photos missing from Shared Streams

Photos that were once in some of my Shared Streams no longer appear in the stream - some streams are now completely empty, though the stream still exists. No one has manually deleted photos, so how do I get them back?

Members of the streams include

* iOS 8.1 (iPad Air)

* iOS 7.1.1 (iPhone 4S)

iPad Air, iOS 8.1
