Q: Bluetooth headphones not connecting in Yosemite

Ever since upgrading to 10.10, I can connect my headphones to MBP via bluetooth only once until I reboot. I would like to be able to simply suspend my laptop at the end of each work session instead of completely shutting down.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10), 15" early 2013

Thank you for responding Eric.
The process described in the first link works, as I briefly stated, but rebooting was not necessary to reconnect in 10.9 or 10.8.

I am looking for a solution to this bug that does not require powering down.

I've been having the same problem. In my case I can see the headphones are connected but they do not appear as an audio device. Same headphone I've had for a year and never had this happen before Yosemite. The only fix I've found is a reboot but I don't consider that an adequate solution to this bug.

This issue seems to have resolved itself. The only software update was Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.02
