Originally when the phone was released it was 5.0 so the default can vary depending on when it was made.

You can't go back to prior versions. You'll have to trouble shoot your problem.

Sorry but downgrading is not an alternative. As poster stated above you will need to troubleshoot the problem. Downgrades are not possible.

Your signature says your phone has 8.0.2. There have been 2 new updates since then. The updates addressed some of the slowness problems on older devices. Give it a try.
