Image Direction 180 degrees off

We are working with GPS and geolocating pictures we take out in the field with an Ipad Air 2 on IOS 8.1.1. When we look at the Image Direction (using GeoSetter) it shows the direction of the image 180 degrees off, which is the opposite direction. We also tried this on an iPhone, also using IOS 8.1.1 with the same issues. Using an iPhone 4 on IOS 7 or any other android device or gps enabled camera, image direction works.

We believe there is a problem with how IOS 8 saves the EXIF tags. Has anyone else noticed this or had any issues?

I would also like to mention that the few compass apps that I have tried are showing the correct directions. North shows north, etc.

Yes! This stopped working in iOS 8.x. I use the camera for work and use the EXIF data to stamp my images with location, direction, and date - something I've been unable to use for months.

Not being a developer, I'm unable to report the issue.

I have also noticed this. Its a real pity as the EXIF data is very useful if its correct! Does anyone know why Apple have not fixed this? It should be quite simple to fix.
