Dec 3, 2014 10:12 PM in response to Jhub3.14by The Art Of Sound,Bearing in mind there was a 5 year gap between LP9 and LPX....... so I'll guess 'No" too.....
As an aside.... Personally, unless you have a very good reason/need to upgrade to LPX, I'd stick with LP9 which is still the better performer overall.... preferably with OS X 10.6.8...

Dec 5, 2014 8:38 AM in response to BenBby Mbelekete,Me it's the other way around. Logic X should have initiated a convergence with Final Cut Pro X : just imagine what a music-oriented video editing system could achieve ! or more modestly how confortable it would be to sync the two using the same keyboard commands for similar functions ! Instead LPX just adopted FCP's dark colour scheme, which can make sense when the center of attention is the viewer but is extremely tiring on the eyes (mine anyway) when you're working on a score or even an arrange page. And personally I need those 96 fully customisable colours. So I for one find Logic 9 nearly perfect but I hope that instead of wasting theur ressources on anti-ergonomic cosmetic changes and pseudo-simplification for a market who'll never use such a complex program anyway, the Apple dev tem will work on that FCP-LP fusion which is the Next Big Thing in creative apps as fas as I'm concerned.

Dec 5, 2014 11:10 AM in response to Mbeleketeby BenB,I find the interface easier to view during long hours of work. It is not an arbitrary scheme, but shown to reduce eye strain. Those of us who have done film/video for years, studied color science, know this.
XML round trip with FCPX is pretty flawless now. So that is already taken care of.

Dec 30, 2015 6:42 AM in response to Jhub3.14by Isi is the best,Currently the price dropped down a lot, hopefully this implies the release of LP XI soon!

Dec 30, 2015 1:37 PM in response to Isi is the bestby Guitartist,Huh?
Unless I missed something, Logic Pro X is the same price it has always been: $199.
Perhaps you are referring to the price of Logic Studio (which includes Logic Pro 9) as compared to the price of LPX?

When I finally got around to getting LP 9, they released 10 a week later. So, I still haven't downloaded 10. Now I want to upgrade, but don't want to make the same mistake and have 11 come any day now. Does anyone know when 11 will be released?
Probably tomorrow as a New Year's Eve surprise!

Aug 10, 2016 10:55 AM in response to justalittlesignby octopi,What am I doing with Logic Pro 9?
120 tracks and CPU not even hitting 50%. All the plugs for EQ etc I'd ever want. Fast and seamless operation, no crashes and making some great records. Running 10.6.8 too.
I sent the last project I mixed (120 tracks) to my friend running Logix X on a 32gig Ram i7 iMac with thunderbolt storage and it wouldn't even play back.
Each to their own though.

Aug 10, 2016 1:43 PM in response to Jhub3.14by eclecticandrew,Ps, don't get me wrong; I was on version 5.5 when Apple took over Emagic, and I was on a PC! It took years until I got my first Mac, and I went from 5 to 9! The benefits from 9 to X are even greater and the learning curve nowhere near as steep.
