Trying to update Aperture 3.4.5 so it will be compatible with OS X Yosemite. What are my options?
Mac mini, Yosemite 10.10
Open the Mac App Store, click on the Updates tab, and update it.
If you get told that the update isn't available for your Apple ID, click here and contact Apple.

I just spent about an hour on the phone with Applecare. Most of the time was spent waiting to talk to someone but I finally got through to an Aperture expert. The solution is simple if you have Yosemite 10.10.1. He instructed me to shut down my computer. Then he had me do a safe reboot. You start up your computer holding down the shift key until you see your login and safe reboot in red in the upper right hand corner. This took awhile. Then when your computer is ready to use you restart and open the App Store app. The Aperture update was there along with five other updates including iWork updates. It was wonderful!
You have to make sure you have 10.10.1
Same problem/question. I tried what was suggested to you, however, this didn't work for me. Still no update for my Aperture 3.5.1. There must be a 'link' for this update. Certainly not found on the App store!
Well, I finally got it. I went to the App Store and 'searched' for Aperture in the "Search" field, it came up with an indication to "Update". Which I did successfully. I wonder why this update was shown when I clicked on "Updates"; this continually said, "No Updates Available"! Hope that this will help others
Reference Aperture/yosemite. After trying the safe reboot procedure a couple of times with no success, I called Apple support. If you have multiple Apple ids, log into store under each & check purchases. I found Aperture under an alternate ID. Click on install & then update your library. Relaunch Aperture & it works fine. Yeeeeeh!!
