How can I get a replacement Tiger CD for a Powerbook G4?

We obtained an old Powerbook G4 (NOT Intel) specifically to run HyperCard under Classic mode. The Powerbook is currently running 10.3 (Panther) and we want to upgrade it to Tiger (10.4.11). Tiger seems to be able to support almost all websites, but Panther does not.

I found an upgrader that is supposed to take an earlier version of Tiger up to 10.4.11; however, I need to get a CD to upgrade from Panther to some version of Tiger. I was able to track one down...but it was for an iMac, so it would not run.

Does Apple have a way to purchase old OS CDs? Does anyone know of another source?

Thank you, Ken

Thanks. I actually tried this first and bought a Tiger CD from eBay. But apparently there are many device-specific versions. The one I bought turned out to be for an iMac and it would not install. Apparently I need a Tiger CD made for the Powerbook G4 only. That doesn't seem to be available.

Tiger Requirements...

To use Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, your Macintosh needs:

* A PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor

* Built-in FireWire

* At least 256 MB of RAM (I recommend 1GB minimum)

* DVD drive (DVD-ROM), Combo (CD-RW/DVD-ROM) or SuperDrive (DVD-R) for installation

* At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools (I recommend 20GB minimum)
