I'm trying to pair my Plantronics Backbeat Fit earphones to my Macbook Pro but my laptop doesn't seem to discover the headset.
I have tried so many times and even updated the firmware of my headset but still no results :-(
I had no problems pairing the headset to my phone.
Can anybody help?

Quick edit...if this isn't the first pairing (already paired to phone)...the headphones need to be turned off. hold down power button and don't let go when it says "power on" until you hear "pairing"

Only thing I'd add is that you have to power up and keep holding the power button (don't take your finger off at all) and make sure you have bluetooth preferences open in your laptop
This did not work for me… I have had this for four months now and it is working perfectly until today. Has anyone had any experience with it working for a short amount of time and then stopping working?
Yes it is very useful and worked for me, I just took new MAC and tried all options but yes it is as simple but some times we miss in working with right options.

To pop the headphones in pairing mode, you need to hold the answer/call button for a few seconds.
I just made it on an iMac (mid 2010) with OS X Yosemite 10.10.
Cuchemassoff's responsewas almost right - it's not the answer/call button to hold to enter pairing mode - you need to hold the Power button (above the answer/call button) in (after turning it on). Once I did this, the red/blue lights flashed and I was able to pair from my Macbook Pro.
