Pairing problem between Plantronics Backbeat Fit and Macbook Pro

I'm trying to pair my Plantronics Backbeat Fit earphones to my Macbook Pro but my laptop doesn't seem to discover the headset.

I have tried so many times and even updated the firmware of my headset but still no results :-(

I had no problems pairing the headset to my phone.

Can anybody help?

To pop the headphones in pairing mode, you need to hold the answer/call button for a few seconds.

I just made it on an iMac (mid 2010) with OS X Yosemite 10.10.

  1. Open Bluetooth settings on your Mac.
  2. Turn on the power button of the headset Plantronics Breakbeat Pro (unlike iPhone, Mac won't find your headset by default).
  3. Press and hold the answer/call button until the light on the headset starts flashing red and blue. Release the button.
  4. Your headset should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices (something like this 00-0c-00-0c-00-00, there will be other digits of course))))
