how to stops ads appearing in safari like mackeeper etc...

my browser most of the times show up ads like mackeeper or something when i select something.....it occurs almost overtime i select anything and its very annoying and disturbing...kindly help me a way to stop those ads....i have already downloaded ad block from safari extensions but still no use of it...

If you are seeing pop ups all the time and even have the option to block those pop ups, then take a look at the article below to walk you through checking the settings in Safari to remove them. If everything looks good, there are some additional steps to help remove items that may have been installed with other software that you have downloaded previously.
