How do I get photos out of the cloud and back onto my device?

hi

i don't have much space on my iPhone, so I tend to upload my photos onto my windows laptop every so often, and then delete them from my iPhone and iPad - I clear them from camera roll and photo stream.

i Know they are saved in "the cloud", but how do I get the photos back from the cloud once I've deleted them completely off my devices?

im a bit confused as to what "accessing the cloud" actually is.

i Would be very grateful for any guidance.

thank you

Since you mentioned that you delete photos from the camera roll as well as the photo stream, there is no way you can get access to your photos again. Photo stream is nothing but "the cloud". Since you deleted the photos off the cloud, you cannot retrieve them.

As to how photo stream works and how the cloud works, here is a link:

Yes, Photostream is indeed the cloud itself. Its part of the iCloud family. As long as you delete the photos from your phone storage and not delete it from your photo stream, your phone storage won't be used. Also, just always have an iTunes backup of all your photos.

And also, I see you mentioned that you can't upgrade to iOS due to lack of storage. You can upgrade to a newer iOS if you do it through iTunes.
