Append LDAP to Directory Utility Search Policy

I am trying to append our Server to the Directory Utility Search Policy via Terminal in ARD after Active Directory. The command I am using is:

dscl /Search -append / CSPSearchPath /LDAPv3/ServerIP

I get the following error message:

<main> attribute status: eDSReadOnly

<dscl_cmd> DS Error: -14121 (eDSReadOnly)

Have you tried running the command as root? I prefer to use the fqdn as it's a good way of verifying DNS on your local network.

I actually figured this one out on my own. I had to run: dscl -u "diradmin" -P "password" before the other command.
