HOW TO DISABLE CPU behavior when no battery inside macbookpro ?

I realized, when i do not have the abttery inside the macbook, what i do not fotne, to save chargecycles, that my cpu wil not go above 1ghz. i observed this with the use of the coreduotemp application, wich can be free downloaded and monitors temperature and cpu speed of your macbook. i wrote to the developper, and he confirms that observation, so it is not an software bug.
First, i invite you to test this on your macs and report, and secound i would like to have a solution, i bought this mac for power, not for slow power.
maybe someone knows how to disable this behavior, thx

macbookpro, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

It's a safety feature of some sort...there is no way to disable it. However, your battery will not charge (if it is fully charged) while it is in your machine, so you do not need to worry about wearing it out by leaving it in the machine. Moreover, without the battery inside you run a terrible risk of data loss or damage to the hard drive in the event the power is disconnected...

I would advise you to put your battery in and not worry about it.

the point is, that i know everything about the batter yis not chargin etc, and etc,
i like to NOT let the battery inside because of HEAT, wich harms the battery, and i like to have full cpu even without battery. i am sure there is a way, ther must be a way to solve my problem, tis just code to be changed, so please someone help me thinking about a solution

there is currently absolutly no way to change the feature. It is (most likely) burried somewhere in then firmware or similar, and no one has access to the source for them, and the source for the straight up kernel wont have any use.
'codes' arent hte same as code in teh sense you mean, i would guess. It sounds like you think it is a simple strin of source to change it... a large amount of source will need to be hacked up, which im prety sure no one will do due to time and lack of usefullness.

they have implimented it for a reason.

good luck, however

If your MBP is consistently running at 80°C or higher, there is probably a problem with it... My machine idles around 54°C (when connected to an external monitor -- less without) and maxes around 75°C when the processor and GPU are being pushed (i.e. video intense gaming).

Additionally, the MBP's battery is not Lithium Ion -- it is Lithium Polymer -- and is designed to be used IN the laptop. You are worrying about nothing (or next to nothing); even if your theory is correct, you are perhaps talking about a 5% decrease in the overall lifespan of the battery...if you think that is worth the possibility of data loss, then I guess running without the battery is for you...

However, you will not be able to disable the down-throttle of the CPU speed.

The battery gets nowhere near that temperature, you're reading the CPU core temperatures not the casing ...

If you remove the battery the CPU will step down to 50%, that's how it's intended to be and there's nothing you can do to change that. Put the battery in and stop worrying.
