Dual boot with Yellow Dog Linux

Is it possible to create a dual Boot system with Yellow dog Linux on G5?
If so how?

Another hardware question:
Does Tiger support SCSI adapters and hard drives?
I want to install and use 15k (RPM) drives if
possible. Suggestions?

I've built AMD64 machines with 15k SCSI drives
and makes a big difference in speed with modest
AMD64 cpu (running FreeBSD).
Why did Apple go to Intel and not AMD?

G5, Mac OS X (10.4.2), X11, Xcode2, 512Mb RAM
