Q: Channel strip setting drop downs not working in Logic pro x

I'm experiencing a weird bug where my channel strip settings button on the top of the channel strips won't respond to the click/hold.  The tab also doesn't respond to right clicking or even just a normal click to select the track. They're completely dead. I've tried new empty projects. Old projects I open up have presets at the top, but the settings tab is still unresponsive. The library on the left works for software instruments, but I've lost all functionality of the drop down. Also I can't access any channel strip presets for audio/aux/master tracks. I did move some of my additional content from an external hard drive to my main drive, but this shouldn't affect the channel strip settings. They're currently in Library/ApplicationSupport/Logic/ChannelStripSettings which I believe is the default.  Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?
