I have an Mac Server G4/500 with a couple of drive in it. One of which is a 250 gig unit that, of course, only 125 gig are recognized because of the limits of that platform.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to partition a large drive, by using a firewire enclosure, on a newer model that recognizes larger drives, in to a few smaller partitions. Then placing that now partitioned drive back in to a Sawtooth and have it work?

Another option to fully use a large drive is a Mac-compatible ATA-133 card. (I assume that your 250GB drive is ATA since it is connected to the built-in controller).I can recommend this card (and this dealer)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16816123110Note: Last I checked, they don't ship outside of the US.
