Cant Connect my Plantronics Marque 2 M165 with my iPhone 5 or with my dads iPhone 6

Since apple released the first released iOS * i have not been able to connect my Bluetooth to my phone or my dads new iPhone 6, i have done everything that apple has said to do but still can't connect, i can connect my iPad with no problem with my phone. why isn't apple addressing this issue because it seems there is a lot of people out there having the same problem when i was on iOS 7 i had no problem updated to iOS 8 and hasn't work since, as i stated i did everything that apple told me to do and still not working i even got away from anything that would interfere with it and still wouldn't i figured if i went to the moon maybe it will connect but who knows, this is very frustrating

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.1, also won't connect to iPhone 6

The instructions to pair come from plantronics. For the new iPhone 6, turn on Bluetooth on the phone and then turn on the M165. When the headset is on, press and hold the call button for 5-6 seconds until it flashes alternating red and white. Check your phone and the marquis should now show in the list and you can select it. Your phone should pair automatically from now on. As for the older phone you may need to reset its Bluetooth list and then repair with these same directions. They work for all makes and models of phones as I had trouble pairing mine with my galaxy 4 before I switched to my iPhone.
