Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

You will not lose data by resetting.

If this does not work, try to set it up as new device again, explained in this article:

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

If still no luck, get it checked by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider.

Do you have a protective film mounted onto your screen? If yes, remove it and see if the screen works after that.

2nd: Every information about the device can be useful to solve the issue.

1St: try restarting your device! If it doesnt work. ( by holding the power and the home button! )

2nd: then try restoring your device. ( cause your are already on 8.1.1 you cant update your device, backup your phone, the restore your device but before that you have to download the source file for iOS 8.1.1 or do it on internet! But i have to notice that its better to use the recovery mode i mean first take it to recovery mode by holding the home and power button together while connecting the device to iTunes and after the screen goes off release the power button and hold the home button for few second. Then it automaticly goes to recovery mode then restore it. )

3rd: if the 1st and 2nd doesnt work , keep calm for the iOS 8.2

i hope the amazing update  will solve your problem.

What are you on about?  I've seen no 'non-useful information' in either the OP's post or Ingo's.  You're getting irate because the OP posted the capacity of the device?

So what?  Chill, sparky.  You've been a member of the forum for over two years.  You need to relax.

I have had similar problems with an unresponsive touchscreen, attempting all items identified from apple, hard reset, fix through itunes, etc. for several hours then chatting with a specialist to tell me it sounds like a hardware problem with the screen.  I was told to take it to an apple store for a repair. Made an appointment 1 week out, at eh store they told me they know that the iphone 6+ has a hardware issue with the screen but until apple officially acknowledges it that it will cost me $325 to repair my 13 month old 64gb Iphone 6+.  I was told " I am really sorry, we know it is a problem" .

They did offer to charge me $40 a month to get a new phone so I could upgrade every year. essentially renting a phone yearly for $480.  No Thank you.

I hope the word gets out that the I phone 6+ is defective and not durable enough to last through normal use. I am a guy and carry the phone in my front pocket and am very careful with it. Do you do research outside apple forums and you will see there are a lot of people with defective iphone 6+, generally problems start to surface within the first year, if you are after 12 months you are out of luck.  You will find there are many people that have phones stop working due to screen hardware failure after a very short time. Unfortunately mine was just our of warranty. They have lost my family as a customer for life.
