Q: iCloud Drive is not accessible

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite. The iCloud Drive shows up in the sidebar, but I am not able to access it. It is accessible on my other MacBook Pro. Is it not possible to have the same iCloud Drive on two different computers then? I don't see the purpose, if this is the case.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

That is, how it is supposed to work - use the same iCloud Drive as a common storage across all your devices.

Are you signed into iCloud with the same AppleID on both macs?

What exactly happens, when you try to access iCloud Drive on your second Mac?

For me it helped to disable iCloud Drive in the System Preferences > iCloud; then restart the Mac, and then to enable iCloud Drive again.  It took a full day however to populate the drive. The initial setup is very slow, until you will be able to see all documents on the second Mac.

I had this issue, my MacBook Pro showed the iCloud drive contents, but my Mac Pro would not. I disabled the drive in iCloud, and then enabled it again and my iCloud drive contents showed up on Mac Pro, I didn't need to restart. Thanks for the tip!!
