Q: Burning my FCE project to disc

I have jsst completed a long video in FCE of a wedding, which runs for 49 minutes. I have exported the file as a Quicktime movie file and it is 28 gb in size! (HD 1080 16.9)

To burn it onto a DVD should I now use iDVD or my version of Toast 6? Which would be the best picture and audio quality? Thanks in advance folks.

File size is not the determining factor, it is program length. Regular DVDs support program lengths <120 minutes.

When you take your file into Toast or iDVD, the application will encode the material into MPEG-2 compressed video that is the DVD standard.

iDVD offers much greater menu options than Toast, if that is important to you. Either application should produce a great looking DVD, as long as you understand that DVDs are by definition Standard Definition, and so will fall short when compared directly to your HD master.

Thanks Meg for this info, I think I will go with iDVD because of the extra features, which are important for a nice presentation. Much appreciated.
