HP Officejet Pro 6830

I am able to install this printer as a bonjour shared printer, and use scanning, and printing double sided pages. It will not install in the system of 10.6.8. What is so different that it incompatible? I am actually able to get it to install, but it won't print and just remains paused. but as a shared wireless printer, it works. same driver. Makes now sense. Even Windows XP can get it to work. Why does apple abandon older system users?

Try resetting the printing system.

It is HP who didn't update the driver, not Apple.

I'm sure that you may be right. Still, why are its functions supported through it being shared, when it won't install on its own. Thanks for the feedback though.
