Audio from Apps not playing through Dock

I am using a Lightning to 30-pin connector cable to hook my iPhone 6 and my wife's iPhone 5c to our first-gen Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin. The audio from two separate (different developers) ambient noise apps will not pass through but the audio from the "Music" app passes through fine.

Any ideas? yes I've closed apps and restarted my phone, but nothing is working. Bought that $40 cable for these ambient noise apps and now might have to take it back.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any other suggestion as I'm not familiar with your hardware/apps. I just had a similar problem with an equalizer app not working on one of my iPhone 4's. The phones were used on a bose sound dock. The app worked on one phone, the other didn't, but both would play through the native music app. A reinstall of the equalizer app fixed the problem thus my suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, it's a troubleshooting trick that often works but not in this case.

I DO like the Zeppelin. Had to send it back to B&W once for the dreaded power-source fix but they did it on their dime so it was no big deal. Also have the mini for our daughter's room and they both serve their purpose well. They can't really replace a "Stereo" but they sound pretty good and are super sexy.
