Weird Problem - Can't Resizing the Layout Column Size in Pages

Hello.

I'm using OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and Pages 5.5.1 (both the latest version). The problem occurred when I was trying to resize the layout columns in some pages of a report that I've been working on. It simply just wouldn't let me do it.

I've been struggling with it, and many possible solutions have been already tried, e.g. reboot the system, shut down the computer and restart, re-install the Pages, try it on a fresh file, etc. But none of them really has sorted it out.

I say it's weird because during all kind of tries, sometimes it just appeared to be working, however just shortly, after a few moves, the resizing function always then sort of been "locked" again. And after that, even with undoing all the new moves to where I used to have the function "alive", it would still be "dead" as it was. At this kind of situation, even when I open up a new file, without changing anything, just go straight to Layout, change the column from 1 to 2, the column volume is still not resizable.

Thanks for your attention, and I really hope some senior users could help me with some of their previous experiences.

Cheers,

Best regards,

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

In Pages v5 (including v5.5.1), when the equal column width is selected, one can still double-click the first column width setting to change it. When you do this for the second column, it automatically changes to the value set in the first column, and the gutter auto-adjusts as well.

With equal column width deselected, one can double-click, and change values for each of the column and gutter entities.

This works as expected on my Yosemite 10.10.1 and Pages v5.5.1 implementation.
