http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html
That will help me know what we're dealing with and which OS it will run. That Safari version is probably too new to run on that iBook.

Ive been reading that I can put Safari on a USB drive, but when I did (the .dmg) and tried to open it on the iBook, I got an error saying there was no application to open that kind of file. It was Safari v1.2 and Safari v3.2
both were not able to open (due to being a .dmg file) and the mac not having any applications. I also do not have the start up disks or access to afford one. Any advice will help. Thank you!

Ohhh, the fastest of the iBooks! Check this out:
http://lowendmac.com/2005/14-1-42-ghz-ibook-g4-mid-2005
and this:
http://lowendmac.com/2009/the-future-of-up-to-date-browsers-for-powerpc-macs/
"How long will Apple continue updating Safari 4 for PowerPC Macs? My guess would be that version 4 of Safari will probably be the last version supporting Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard may get one more revision. [Update: Safari 5.0.6 was the last for Leopard.]"
I would try these:

and:

It's been a while since I dealt with a PPC Mac. I do still have a G4 MDD desktop up and running. Haven't had a browser on it for a while but the last I had was Opera and Firefox.
