iPhone 6 Plus Camera Resolution Setting...

A friend just got an iPhone 6 Plus. He sends me pictures all the time to use for listing items online.

The pictures are too low resolution to use. Can someone please tell me how to adjust the camera

resolution to the maximum??

The iPhone 6 iSight camera has a resolution of 8 Megapixels. Perhaps your friend has been using the Facetimecamera. It has a lower resolution of 1.2-megapixel.

Or your friend is zooming in. The zoomed photos will have a lower resolution.

Ask your friend to send the photos uncompressed, when sharing by mail. Mail will show choices for the compression, when pressing the send button.

He is using the rear camera. When he used his old iPhone 4 to send me pictures, the resolution was just fine. He just does not know how

to change the camera resolution or use the technology to send the pictures at a higher resolution. Both of my Android phones let me select the resolution that I want to use. I just need know how to explain how to do it on the iPhone 6 Plus.

The rear camera will always take the photos at a 8 Megapixels, unless he zoomed in the zoomed photo will have a lower resolution, depending on the amount of zoom.

To send the photos, he should select photo in the Photos.app and use the Share button to share using Mail.

When he presses the send button, he will receive a prompt, that the attachment is large and he can reduce the size. He should select the highest quality (actual size), when he is seeing this panel:
