Charger keeps disconnecting and connecting each time i move my iphone 4s?

Iv had my iphone 4s since may this year and recently when i charge it, it disconnects from the phone when i move it then connects again and it does this every time therefore i cannot charge my phone properly as i am always using it. Is there anyway to fix this i have not tried a new cord however could this be a problem with the socket?

It could be the cable. It could be the charger. It could be the port.

Try a different cable. Check the port for pocket fluff or other debris.

It could be a bad cord, connector, or dirt in the connector on the bottom of the phone. As a start try cleaning it, and try a different cord. A dry toothbrush, a wood or plastic toothpick and a light to see what you are doing are the right tools.
