Is there a usb audio interface that works 100% with garageband 10.0.3?
I habe a Macbook pro mid 2012 (usb 3.0) with yosemite 10.10.1 installed.
saffire 6 usb & steinberg ur22 don't work (bad clicking noises).
MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
what's the problem with the apple support? I just want to buy an interface for my macbook but it seems like there's not a single usb-audio interface supported? even class compliant interfaces have problems with garageband 10.0.3.
The Apogee Jam is working well with my Strat and Garageband 10.0.3.

thanx for your reply. the apogee jam is not what I'm looking for (by the way the price sounds like a joke to me for a single guitar input).
I need an interface like the ur22, scarlett 2i2 or saffire 6 usb as I want to record vocals (48v), too.

I don't use any of them, sorry. Apple does not recommend specific interfaces. Look at the manufacturer's sites, if the interfaces require audio drivers and if the drivers are compatible with Yosemite and GarageBand 10.
I´m looking for an interface since two months. No official yosemite supported interface is available. even class compliant interfaces don't work with garageband 10.0.3.

does the focusrite scarlett 2i2 work with GB 10.0.3 / yosemite 10.10.1 ?

Even the official Apple hotline support couldn't help me!!!
They still don't know which interface is officially supported by GB 10.0.3
I'm in the same position. I have the current model Mackie Onyx Blackjack & it's unusable with the current Garageband. I got frustrated so I looked at Apple's store for a quick solution. Okay, there's the Focusrite 2x2. I'll just cough up the cash and move on. Further research shows it's also not compatible with the current Garageband. Good God, I just want a compatible interface to run 2 mics! I simply cannot believe this situation.

in the meantime I've tried a simple usb-soundcard, it doesn't work, too...
let's hope apple finds a solution asap!
I'm using a old M-Audio Fast Track Pro a really cheap Alesis i/o 4 and a very nice Apogee iMic without any problems.
If you're having problems with Focusrite interface's try removing any old third party audio drivers and put the interface in class compliant mode. I did this for a friend when Mavericks came out. We had to download something from Focusrite to do this.
Not sure if this will work for Yosemite but it sounds like the same problem that started with 10.9
that's what the focusrite support told me to do... and yeah, I had the same problems with mavericks, too.
but unfortunately it doesn't work.
I ordered an iRig pro, I hope it works and I can finally start recording...
got my iRig pro today and it seems to work!
I'm at my wits end...
two crashes so far, strange noises and then suddenly a 1s latency...
WWith further research I found out that people are successfully using the Focusrite Scarlett 2x2 with the new OS. I bought one and hooked it up and recorded a couple of tracks. So far, no problems.
