This is slightly related to this question, so I'm going to post here.
We have someone that has a newer Macbook with this monitor, connected via Thunderbolt. He wants to connect the USB keyboard to the monitor, so the Macbook can be set aside. Now, with a regular Apple Display, USB will route over the Thunderbolt connection. But with the Dell, this doesn't appear to be the case. At least, when the keyboard is plugged in to the Dell Monitor USB, it's not recognized by the Macbook.
I'm wondering if I need to get a USB extension from the Macbook to the Dell Monitor, which seems counter intuitive to how it works with a regular Apple display.
