Q: Can't Update to iCloud for Windows 4.0.2

I got an update via the Apple Software Update application. It says iCloud for Windows 4.0.2 is ready to be downloaded and installed. So when I go to click on Install is downloads, but then when it gets to the installing part it says "Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists choose Tools> Download Only and try installing manually"

So after I do Tools> Download Only I get a folder with a .exe file to open and run. After I open it, it goes through all the normal things and agreements, starts downloading, nut once it starts installing I get a message saying "The installer has encountered an unexpected error. The error code is 2343".

What is wrong? Is it me?

    Try this

To update icloud with windows 7

       -download iCloud installer 3.1.0.40

-go to install, it will ask if you want to remove residual iCloud

            -uninstall it

               -restart

-then remove folder "internet services" and its contents

                        \hard drive\program files\common files\apple\internet services

                       -then install version 3.1.0.40

-restart, logoff the iCloud in control panels

                                -install version 4.02

    Hi Rado,

I opened outlook and have the Icloud toolbar, and it is in the allowed add-ins. So, unfortunately, your suggestions although encouraging, failed to resolve my issues with re-installing Icloud for Windows.

Try moving the contents of the folder (Internet service) and the folder itself to the desktop, restart the machine, then delete the Folders and Files

I had this problem too, off and on for months, until tonight when I found a solution.  I used the Microsoft FixIt tool - which cleaned out any remnants of icloud.  Once I did that icloud 4 installed with no trouble.  Here's a link to Microsoft FixIt

A note to the Apple Geniuses-in-hiding, and the strong Apple support organizations that have made so many contributions to resolving this issue, I've discovered the solution to the problem.  As other contributors have noted, you begin with removing all of the Apple software from your machine.  Then you replace it with Google Calendar.  Next, you replace iTunes with Spotify, Tidal or another media service of your choice.  No more Apple poor software quality issues, or poor support issues.

Trying to repair icloud because i cant view storage details and it keep giving me a message that my storage is almost full.

Everytime I try to repair or uninstall/reinstall icloud it won't let me and I get error 2343 message.

Will Apple please provide a solution or update to fix this, as it seems to be a common problem.

In the meantime, I will just keep icloud turned off and refrain from buying any Apple products.
