i've got a load of folders of music with mixes in and i tend to name them 01,02,03 or a,b,c etc so they play in order within the folder.I tunes has added all my music to its library and as a result i have dozens of tracks named 01,02,03 ,a,b,c etc.Because they're not official 1 track songs itunes obviously cant get the song/artist info..so what do i have to do to get them to play in order? edit the song info and name the artist/ give them an album title? etc..also
also this is long and tedious, is there a program that could name them all at once?
nano's should play "folders" would make it easier..cheers

Hi, im afraid there is no easy answer just having to go through and rename you could try a software called jukebox for iPod altough I'm not at 1 on exactly what it does. there is no quick answer to this.
right, I have alot of albums in my library that don't have track names and haven't been imported through itunes. When I try to look up track info online I'm told to reimport using itunes. One thing I did because I don't have an internet connection at the house was to take my ipod to the library and use different programs to look up track info. Anapod looks good anybody try that?
right i spent about 2 bloody hours giving some of my songs artist and album tags using a program called TAGGIN MP3 but to my extreme dissapointment the details failed to show up in itunes!!! there's id1 id2 and id3 tags..which program would i need ? does itunes only support id3? getting frustrated.now
i found an easy way... i opened a window with my music folders in then dragged them across to the play lists ,it then created a playlist of that folder.hopefully i can drag them to my ipod...
there is a program called phatnoise media manager that can name a whole album at a time, and rename the filename also. it is a free download if you don't need it to rip your music, otherwise its $30.
