Airdrop is wonderful when it works but the support for when it doesn't is beyond useless.
I have 10.10.1 on a mid-12 MacBook Pro an 8.1.2 on an iPhone 5s (and an iPad Air 2). Sometimes they see each other but the receiving device doesn't get the file. This happens regardless of direction. Also, just the discover is erratic and takes a long time (devices pop up and disappear even those all three are sitting on my desk open). I've restarted all devices etc etc. Does anyone have any solutions for this?
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 iOS 8.1.2
