I Can see all my files via the icliud website and on my MacBook but not on my phone. Can anyone let me know how to make them visible? ickiud drive is switched on, as are the iWork apps. I've tried turning them off, rebooting and turning them on again, as well. Any suggestion?

Are these documents in your iWork apps folders on iCloud drive or in another folder on iCloud drive
These are the files the used to be/are iCloud fileS. Files that I created on my phone and were automatically stored in the iCloud. I've tried all the usual turning things off and on. Thanks.
There is no option that you can turn on to view the files in iCloud.
If the files are Pages documents, start Pages on you iPhone to open the docs in iCloud.
Go to iCloud.com. Tap the URL field. Pull Favories down. Tap request desktop site. Log into your iCloud account. Your files on your phone.
Thanks. In Settings > iCloud > iCloud drive, there is a switch to turn iCloud Drive on and off. Below that are switches to turn each iWork app on and off. These are all on (and have been off and on to try an re-set the apps). I have lots of Pages docs in the iCloud, that I created before iCloud Drive. These are all viewable on the web and via Pages on my mac. The problem is that when I open my Pages app on my iPhone, the Pages folder in iCloud Drive shows 0 files. Any thoughts on why I can't see any files?

Following your instructions does allow me to open my iCloud on my phone, but it does not either allow me to edit files (they don't open), nor does it update my iWork apps so that I can edit them in-app. Any suggestions as to why I can see my iWork files on the web and via my mac, but not in-app on my phone? You're welcome. I'm sorry I won't be much of a help to you, rereading your post it appears you've already tried everything I was going to suggest. Hopefully someone who knows iCloud better then me will be able to help.

Just checking a couple of things....
Where exactly are the files in iCloud drive
(The forum isn't allowing me to post images at the moment, but in this screenshot, if the file is in folder A, you should have no problem seeing it on your mobile, if it's in folder B (or one like it) numbers won't automatically see the file, you will need to look for it by tapping the ➕ icon.
Additionally, have you checked in the app settings themselves to ensure that iCloud is enabled (i.e. settings > numbers > use iCloud.
Finally are you running iOS 8 on your mobile AND Yosemite on your Mac.
I've been talking to apple. They are telling me that it's a software issue and are recommending that I re-install the OS (wiping data). Am backing up the phone ti iCloud at the moment. So far it's just costing me money!
