Q: when updates for family shared apps are requested, who's password should be used the main account user or the family member sharing the app within their own device?

Being the main account user do I need to give my password to  family members who are sharing apps bought by me that require updates on their devices?  It was my understanding that once I bought the app and if the app required updates, the updated apps would also go through to the family members sharing the same apps updated? Do I have to input my password to all of my family members who are sharing my apps to update on their devices? I appreciate any feedback..thank you...gdelapaz1x1
