Airport Extreme Setup with Windows 7

Can I set up an Airport Extreme Base Station (Gen. 4) with a windows pc if it doesn't have a wireless card installed? If so, how?

According to AirPort Utility software and firmware downloads - Apple Support you can do with Airport Utility 5.3.3 for Windows.

Yes, assuming that the PC has the AirPort Utility application on board, and you temporarily connect an Ethernet cable from the PC to one of the LAN <--> ports on the AirPort Extreme.


Things would be much simpler, and you could avoid the usual snags.....like having the Windows Firewall block the connection to the AirPort Extreme....if you had an iPhone or iPad handy to set up the AirPort Extreme that way using wireless.
