How do I determine if I am using OS X 64-bit (x86-64) (DMG) or OS X 32-bit (x86) (DMG)?

I am trying to update OpenOffice 4.1.0 to 4.1.1 and the screen asks me to select my favorite operating system. How do I determine if I am using OS X 64-bit (x86-64) (DMG) or OS X 32-bit (x86) (DMG) on my 21.5 inch, Late 2009 iMac running OS X Lion 10.7.7 (11G63), Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

OS X is a fully 64 bit OS as of Snow Leopard, 10.6. The only difference is Snow Leopard and Lion can boot with either a 32 bit, or 64 bit kernel, whereas Mountain Lion and forward will only boot to a 64 bit kernel. Otherwise, every other object in the OS runs 64 bit.

From a software standpoint, you can use either 32 bit or 64 bit apps.
