Well, I'm not to sure what you would do. Was it something along the lines of, "Warning! This apple [device] is infected with viruses and your browser is seriously damaged. You need to remove them immediately. It is necessary to remove and fix now. Don't close this window. **If you leave, you will be blocked**"?
I got one of those notifications and called Apple and he said it was real, and that I should take my devices to Apple to have some anti hack software put in or something. I don't really know for sure. Reading through other replies, it seems like they are saying the notifications are fake but when I called Apple they said they were real? I would just take it in, fake or not, just to be safe. Hope this helps a bit.

What number did you call? Whatever number you called, it wasn't Apple.
It's a scam; clear history and website data.
Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
Not true, not possible.
Currently there's no known virus affecting iPad as long as you don't Jailbreak your iPad.
WWhat do you mean by jailbreak ? , and it directs me to Apple aps and recommends and app to stop it butt I wernt sure if I should download it
What you have experienced is simply a scam web pop up. Ignore its instructions. And clear Safari's cache as indicated above.
It is an, unfortunately, common browser hijack ad.
Like suggested above, go into the settings and clear out your safari.
You may also want to consider an adblock app. I use weblock but i'm sure there are others. If you block the ads you block these scam attempts
the only thing to be aware of with weblock is that it sets it up so you access the web via a proxy server, some public wifi access points don't like that, so it's not perfect but it helps.
I hate to disagree with all of you who are saying there is no such thing as that. I have trying for the past 2 hours to fix my mom's ipad. Everytime she goes on Safari and opens clicks on a link. it launches another window for "
adexchange.com"
and few more windows open, and eventually it launches the App Store to purchase something.
It is real. and I have cleared the cache and blocked the pop-ups. I would have attached the screenshots but there is not way to do that.
DDisagree all you like-you are wrong.
mmost likely your wifi router has been hijacked.

aaresh were u able to resolve the issue cause i m facing the same on my two iphones and ipad
Yes, because it's not a virus, its iVirus 🙂
Cleared, doesn't help... Although this sounded like a good idea.. My ipad behaves like it's been possesed. Regardless wich app I am using and what I am doing it clicks at random links and buttons on the page preventing me from what I am doing. If I am typing it will change a position or the coursour, will select, cut and paste text againts my will. It even switched a camera once and started shooting me as I was sitting near, but not infront of it. I tryed deleting all apps, clearing safari, restarting, installing updates - didn't help. If this is not a virus, what is?
You have short in the digitizer.
It's a hardware issue-nothing to do with software or a virus.
You are responding to a thread that is 2 years old.
