Can the iPhone 5s determine what SIM card is being used on the phone on any particular date?

Dear Community,

Can the iPhone 5s determine what SIM card is being used on the phone on any particular date and time? To put this simply, I need to know my SIM card was connected to my iPhone 5s on a particular date.

So is there anyway I can find out that MY SIM CARD was connected to my iPhone 5s on the 25th October 2014.

Is there any link between the IMEI number and my SIM card, any information that can be extracted from the phone to prove that my phone was connected to my network with my unique IMEI number and my SIM card.

I'm desperate to know whether I can identify this. Extremely Important.

I appreciate everyones help.

Kind Regards,

Mshadow66

Hello Peter,

Thanks for the reply. Basically speaking, my phone line (data usage) was used in another country while my phone was here in the uk. I need to prove that the phone was connected to my sim card on a particular date.

The carrier are not willing to help but yes I do believe it would take a court order for this to happen.

Your help is much appreciated.

I'm not sure how that would help you. If the SIM is attached to your account, it doesn't matter what phone it was in at the time it was used (from the carrier's perspective). You'd still be responsible for charges. Your carrier would generally be able to see what SIM was connected to what IMEI but there are situations under which they wouldn't. Perhaps if you can review a detailed call list and can show that those calls were made from your phone with that SIM, you might be able to prove the mistake. I'd call back customer service and ask to speak to the fraund department. They might be more helpful.

I can't really see how that would help. Your sim card can be placed in any phone that will accept it and the calls/data used will still be applied you your account. Showing your sim card was in your phone is irrelevant in your case. You need to prove your phone AND sim card did not leave the country.
