Hey Leif a,
Take a look at the article below for issues with not being able to hear from the receiver on your iPhone. It will have you make sure that you do not have a Bluetooth device connected and the sound is going to as well as cleaning the receiver.
If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound quality is poor on iPhone
