Macbook pro 2006 will not boot (Command S shows Loading 'mach_kernel' and can do nothing else, also 'error loading drivers' (in case you were wondering this was Mac OS X 10.6.8? all i know is that i can not enter safe boot with the normal commands)
Do you have another Mac also with Fire Wire ?
On your MacBook press at Boot T
Connect a FireWire Cable to it and to the other Mac Then on the other Mac you see your Hard drive
go to it -> .mach_kernel delete it and i gave you a new .mach_kernel data
If you can access terminal, use these instructions:

Otherwise reinstall the OSX.
