Q: my my iphone , or my itunes library on my PC. Altho I have enabled the cloud, I'm guessing I've missed a step or two. Is there a tutorial ?

I bought an album from iTunes using my iPad mini, and it is stored on that device. However, it has not loaded onto my iPhone 4s, or onto my iTunes library on my PC. I suspect I haven't enabled the i cloud correctly for this event, altho several other files do have the icloud icon next to them.

Is there a good tutorial covering enabling / using the icloud ?

    You have two options:

On your iOS devices you can automatically download purchases made on other devices or on your Mac as follows:

Enable Automatic Downloads - Apple Support

You can also manually download purchases to your iOS device or to your Mac as follows:

Download past purchases - Apple Support

See if those help to clear up your questions. If they don't post back with questions!

Well. I guess I was a little confused.

I have the album ( in question) on my iPhone 4s: and I have it on my iPad mini.  The problem is that I do NOT have it in my iTunes library on my PC( Dell XPS 8300 / Windows 7.)
So now I guess I need to enable the i Cloud for music on my PC ?
Once and for all, I would like to store ALL of my music--on ALL of my devices--in one place: iTunes ! This must be possible!

Thanks for any help...Happy Holidays !

You don't need to have iCloud signed onto your Mac. iTunes in the Cloud (which is not the same as your iCloud sign-on), houses all of your purchases. Regardless of where you purchased the music, you can download it to your Mac in one of two ways:

Under the View Option on the top menu, turn on "Show Music in the Cloud". This will then show you all of the music purchased under the iTunes ID that is signed onto the Mac or PC. If you want one or more of those items in your iTunes library on the Mac or PC, click on the little cloud next to the item and it will download. (if you cannot see the top menu, click on the ALT key to display it).

You can also go to Purchased under the Quick Links section of the iTunes Store and then click on Music, Not in My Library, and either Songs or Albums. You will then see all purchased music that is not currently in your iTunes library. You can download them selectively, or at the bottom, click on Download All to download all of them. You can do this with purchases under any of the categories - Movies, TV Shows, etc.
