If the videos are having issues with playback, then try creating another version for iPad and Apple TV. All you have to do is select the video in iTunes, go to the drop down menu File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV Version, wait for the conversion and then sync over the new version or play it on your iPad or Apple TV
