You will need to get whoever's Apple ID the phone is locked to to remove the phone from their account.

I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense. There are no viruses that affect unjailbroken iOS devices.

In order to remove the activation lock you need to have the original Apple ID which your original post seems to indicate you don't have.

How, exactly, did you remove the activation lock if you do not know the password for the account that was used to lock it?

Ok, the answer is still the same as when you asked in your previous post, the one steadman linked to. The phone appears to be activation locked to your friend's Apple ID. You need to have them remove the phone from their iCloud account once and for all. In the article I cited, there's a link to how to remove Activation Lock if you no longer have the phone. Give those directions to your friend.

Then go find some WiFi, perhaps. Libraries, coffee shops, hotel lobbies are all good sources. Or, your local Apple Store.

And you can't turn wifi on because?

If the phone is still asking for the passcode to your friend's Apple ID, the activation lock has not been removed. Contact your friend.
